"AMERICAN IDOL"-BATTLE OF THE DAVIDS

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- It's David versus David in the "American Idol" finals. David Archuleta and David Cook both make it. But all Syesha Mercado could say was "thank you" after Ryan Seacrest announced the results of this week's vote. He says more than 56 million people weighed in on the decision. But Paula Abdul had a feeling about what was going to happen. Earlier this week, she said she didn't think Syesha has been good enough to make it into the final round. Simon Cowell predicts the final battle for the next "American Idol" will be a "real humdinger."
